Fake Email Winning Notification Using Red Dot Company
Here's another email scam using an unsuspecting legitimate company's website to lure email readers to participate and give vital information to their benefit and your total loss.
If this email is in fact from the Red Dot Company, they would be promoting such in their website. They're not. Reading through the website, the Red Dot is involved in design and business. It says further, "The red dot is an internationally recognised quality label for excellent design that is aimed at all those who would like to qualify their business activities with the help of design." Why would they even promote an online ballot program and send random, spam emails to just anybody across the globe? It doesn't make sense.
If it doesn't make sense, then it has to be something bogus especially when the email says you just won £1,000,000:00!When you get an email from a total stranger telling you won an x amount, don't jump on it! Research on it some more. It may most likely be a fake...
